A good choice would be to rent a car (average rates for a standard type vehicle is approx at 40 euros per day), so to be able to walk around and explore the greater area of Corinth which is of great touristic interest. If that is the case, you are kindly advised to use a standard GPS service; for your destination, choose the map you will find at the site’s “contact us” section or the one provided to Odyssia’s official web page.
A great and much more cost effective alternative is to use means of public transportation combined with Odyssia festival’s shuttle bus service. If that is the case, you will need to grab the “Proastiakos” (name of the Greek suburban services), that departs from the airport and head to Kiato. This is a 40min ride -tickets cost 10 euros per pax. Your stop will be “Megara”.
There is also a public bus service “KTEL MEGARA” that connects Athens with Megara* and Alepochori*. Note that despite the fact from Athens to Megara the routes are frequent (from 5 pm til 9:45 am on a less than an hourly basis), the route from Athens to Alepochori is good only on 6 pm and 2 am).
* From Megara to your final destination, whether it is Loutraki, Alepochori or Schinos, you can ask for a dedicated transportation service with Odyssia’s minivans (10 euros per pax one-way ticket).
Rent a Car
Schinos is located 70 kilometers from Athens and the distance is covered by car in approximately one and a half hours. You can choose a toll-free route that may last about a half hour longer but it will compensate you with the beautiful sceneries.
Transportation packages with air conditioned buses is available @ 10 euros per person.
Road trip lasts approx. less than one and a half hour.
