On Sunday we welcome a very special yoga session at the Cariocas terrace!
Admission is free of cost and the workshop is open to all ages and levels of difficulty as Giovanna introduces us to the world of family yoga!
A few words about the instructor:
Giovanna Michaliadi Sarti is member and performer of the Multiactive Team – Fabrica Athens Theater Group. She has been dealing with performing arts since 2011, while from 2015 she has been a member of the Fabrica Athens Theater Group. She began with Hoopdance and later discovered the art of the circus in 2013 when she specialised in Circus Hooping in Circus Days School with Irina Gurova. She has attended hula hoop seminars in Italy and Austria and she has taken part in festivals in Greece and abroad (Austria, Italy, South Korea, Macedonia) as a Hula Hoop Performer, a Fire Performer and as a member of the performing duet Mr and Mrs Bubble. In addition, she cooperates with the Greek group of Clowns Without Borders Sweden. She has trained in circus techniques such as stilts, unicycle, juggling, walking globe and fire juggling.
She is a Nada Yoga Teacher trained in the Nada Yoga School in Rishikesh, India. In 2015 she attended Flower Kids Yoga School and in 2018. She has been teaching Yoga in Erasmus+ Projects and European Educational and Exchange Programmes for young people in Greece, Germany, Spain and Turkey. Also, she has taught Kids Yoga and Hoop Yoga in Yoga Studios in Athens and at the Handmade and Recycled Theater Festival.
She has also attended numerous seminars such as Research Theater with Fanis Katechos, INI Summer Intensive Program in Japan, Liquid Way To Action in Studio Matejka in Poland, the International Workshop “Blooming Island” with Kitt Johnson, the Inner Movers which is an educational platform for Video Dance techniques and Site-Specific Performance and “Pause are Thoughts: Thoughts are Movement” with Piergiorgio Milano.
As a performer, she has taken part in site-specific performances, in shorts of Studio Matejka and in the performances “7 Deadly Sins” and “Faith” by Fabrica Athens Theatre Group. Furthermore. She has done the theatrical coaching and directed the performance “Land without Man”, which was presented in the Theater Haus Berlin Mitte in Berlin.
