DJ Harvey’s career in music started off as a teen drummer in punk bands such as ‘Ersatz’ and ‘Your Dinner’, by the late 80’s, Harvey had bought a pair of decks and began DJing. He co-founded Tonka Sound System, a now legendary collective of DJs, musicians, sound and lighting techs, and artists throwing warehouse parties, festivals and a weekly night at the Zap in Brighton. Harvey’s sound is described as house, techno and classics by most, but he’s also known for throwing all sorts into his mix. DJ Harvey is best known for being one of the first resident’s at London’s Ministry of Sound on both Friday’s Techno night and Saturdays House night further showcasing his incredibly diverse musical range.
